Job summary

EtonHouse International Holdings Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support the Main Class Teacher in creating engaging learning spaces, preparing materials, and guiding daily inquiry-based activities.

You will lead Malay language sessions through songs and stories, maintain health and safety, supervise meals and play, document children’s progress, and foster supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

Qualifications

• Malay language proficiency required for Mother Tongue lessons.
• Good English for daily communication with team and parents.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ECDA-registered preschool or childcare centre.
• Patient, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education.
• Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Main Class Teacher in setting up learning spaces and preparing materials.

• Provide routine care and supervision for children during mealtimes, shower/hygiene routines, naptime, and outdoor play.

• Ensure the health, hygiene, and safety of children are strictly maintained according to ECDA regulations and school standards.

• Supervise children during class transitions, specialist lessons, and outdoor activities.

• Assist in documenting children’s learning and displaying their artwork and class projects.

• Maintain classroom resources, learning materials, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.

• Support school events, festive celebrations, parent-teacher meetings, and open houses.

• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.

Job Requirements

• Minimum qualification of L2

• Proficient in spoken and written Malay to conduct Mother Tongue lessons.

• Good conversational English for daily communication with team members and parents.
