Qualifications

• Minimum FECCE or ACEY or higher in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience in preschool/childcare is an advantage.
• First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and conducting daily lessons and routines.
• Support learning through play-based and inquiry-based activities.
• Ensure children's safety and well-being during all activities.
• Foster an inclusive, curious, and socio-emotional development.
• Prepare teaching materials and classroom setups.
• Observe and communicate children's progress to the Lead Teacher and parents.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom.
• Participate in school events, field trips, and community programs.
• Adhere to ECDA regulations and preschool policies.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching learning environment for preschool-aged children. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and conducting daily lessons, activities, and routines based on the school’s curriculum.
• Support children's learning through play-based and inquiry-based experiences.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including supervising playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Assist in preparing and organizing teaching materials, learning resources, and classroom setups.
• Observe, document, and communicate children's progress and behavior to the Lead Teacher and parents when required.
• Build strong, professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Participate in school events, field trips, and community outreach programs.
• Adhere to the preschool’s policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with ECDA (Early Childhood Development Agency) regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum FECCE OR ACEY (Advanced Certificate in Early Years) or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education.
• Relevant experience in a preschool or childcare setting is an advantage.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a nurturing personality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred.
