Job summary

A consulting firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Railway Operations. The successful candidate will perform duties such as track access control and manage central control operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A Local Diploma in E&M Engineering is required, along with leadership skills and familiarity with railway operations. Training will be provided as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in railway operations are preferred.
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn new skills.
  • Possess a relevant Class 3 or 4 local driving license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Perform railway operation duties including track access control and train movement.
  • Manage central control at the OCC building for safety compliance.
  • Co-ordinate contractors for lifting activities related to train delivery.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Position: Assistant Superintendent - Railway Operation

Job requirement:

• Perform railway operation duties such as safe pedestrian track access control, operate shunting vehicle or passenger/ engineering trains for movement, setting of routes for train movement, etc. in the Test Centre.

• Manage central control at the OCC building to ensure safety and security of the Test Centre operations are compliance with the Safety Manual, Rule Book, etc.

• Co-ordinate with contractors for lifting activities for train delivery into or out of the Test Centre.

• Able to perform shift duty, work overtime and relief work.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Superintendent.

• Able to lead and take charge of a team of work group or contractor for building services/ structure maintenance works, core system (Signaling/ Comms/ Control) maintenance works, etc. within the Test Centre.

• Able to support oversea assignment if necessary.

• To take-up the role as trainer when required

Profile of successful candidate:

• Local Diploma Certification in E&M Engineering discipline working in railway industry.

• Candidate with train testing and commissioning work experiences would be an advantage.

• Training will be provided to successful candidate to perform the railway operation duties.

• With knowledge of Microsoft Office application for report submission and presentation.

• Self-motivated and able to be crossed trained and keen to learn new skills.

• Able to lead and take charge of a team of work group.

• Possess a relevant Class 3 or 4 local driving license would be an advantage.
