Assistant Store Manager (East Area/Retail Environment/Up to $3.8K/Urgent)

Responsibilities:

1. Support the Store Manager in daily operations including customer service, inventory, visual merchandising, and brand promotion.
2. Open and close the store, ensuring smooth operations and security.
3. Coordinate task handovers to maintain workflow continuity.
4. Monitor KPIs and contribute to achieving sales targets.
5. Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance customer engagement.
6. Analyze consumer behavior and recommend improvements to sales and operations.
7. Supervise, train, and motivate store staff to meet performance goals.
8. Ensure team proficiency in product knowledge, sales, and customer service.
9. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
10. Assist in recruitment and in-house training initiatives.
11. Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment.
12. Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service.
13. Ensure the safety and security of customers and staff.
14. Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
15. Support operational tasks including events, social media, and staffing as needed.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field discipline.
2. Candidate must have at least 3 years of retail management experience.
3. Demonstrated excellence in customer service, serving as a role model for the team.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage the staff and collaborate with upper management.
5. Proven conflict management skills to resolve customer issues effectively and ensure efficiency for internal team.
6. Good time management and organizational skills to ensure tasks deadlines are met.
7. Competency in working with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint etc.).
8. Candidate will be required to work in various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
9. Candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
