About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead the team and oversee daily operations at our retail store. The Assistant Store Manager will have a passion towards animals, a strong background in retail management and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth operations on a day to day basis
  • Attending to walk-in customers and provide excellent servcie by understanding customer’s needs and recommending appropriate products, sending of feedback forms to customers with appointments, inventory count & ordering, receiving and unpacking of stocks, visual merchandising, and cashiering
  • Lead the team to uphold cleanliness in the store
  • Lead by example on the shop floor and assist with training and coaching of store team members
  • Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving store targets
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Manage grooming appointments and liaise closely with the groomers
  • Ensure the safety of the pets in the store
  • Opportunity to step up into store manager role by taking on staff’s performance evaluation, business strategics with Operations Manager, manpower budgeting etc

Requirements

  • 2- 3 years of prior experience in retail, preferably in a leader role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer service-driven with a genuine interest in animals
  • Organized, proactive and a good team player
  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holiday
