Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in social work practice.
• Inclination towards research and planning is an advantage.
• Relational skills to effectively network with government agencies, churches and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Casework and counselling to identify and assess risks in moderately complex cases using information.
• Use professional tools and templates to guide staff in case assessment and planning.
• Represent the centre in advocacy for vulnerable families through collaboration with community partners.
• Lead or co-lead group/community work assessments and interventions.
• Supervise compliance to professional processes and practice policies.
• Assess supervisees' capabilities and plan training for growth.
• Support implementation of operational and practice protocols and policies.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by Head of Centre.

Role & Responsibilities

• Casework and CounsellingTo readily identify and assess risks inherent in moderately complex cases by integrating a range of information.
• To readily use professional tools and working templates to guide staff in case assessment and case planning
• To represent the centre in its advocacy efforts for vulnerable families, with the aim of advocating for these families to have access to equal opportunities through collaborative practice with community partners
• Groupwork and/or Community WorkTo lead or co-lead with another senior/assistant senior in the conduct of client/community assessments, adapt group/community work processes and specialized intervention strategies
• Supervisory DutiesTo monitor supervisees' compliance to professional processes (such as the use of tools and templates, adherence to practice policies)
• To assess supervisees' capabilities, identify professional growth areas and build training interventions to meet the growth areas.
• Operational Managerial Skills (Operational Processes, Policies and Protocols)To support the Assistant Senior/ Senior/ Lead Professionals in the implementation of centre's operational and practice protocols, processes and policies
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Centre

Qualifications, Competencies & Experiences
