Job Description & Requirements
Asst Snr Social Worker will be working with youths and their families in a residential setting. List of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-chair internal case review with the Head of Department
- Supervise Casework Management in the Hostel by supporting case / social workers' understanding and aligned practice with the overall philosophy, and provide supervision and guidance for junior social workers / social work associates / interns in the area of case management, clinical skills and operational / administrative
- Lead projects / tasks towards achieving Department goals
Additionally, the Asst Snr Social Worker will also carry out Social Worker duties, including:
- Individualised case management, including conducting case conceptualisation, setting goals and interventions plans, conducting monthly individual and family sessions, and review of progress towards goals.
- Work closely with the Probation Officers (POs) and Protection officers for co-case management, and also other stakeholders including families, school and employers. Develop partnership with stakeholders, including existing and prospective employers, schools and CSO agencies, pro-social communities for reintegration efforts, and community partners.
- Conduct therapeutic group work for clients (evening timings 7-9pm)
- Prepare for, attend and present cases at Internal and External Case Reviews to update on intervention progress.
- Casework documentation and reports according to licensing requirements
- Work together with Hostel Operations & Development Department, and provide essential information for Operation (Administration) to schedule for daily movement
- Support in other ad-hoc duties assigned as needed

Preferred achievements / characteristics
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent with 5 years of experience in social service sector or similar setting
- Possess good knowledge and experiences with social work interventions, social policies and community engagement
- Preferrably possess a certification in a clinical modality
- Familiar with clinical supervision framework and skills
- Familiar with community resources and government ministries’ systems (i.e. MSF, MOE etc)
