Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for engaging the University’s Chinese alumni residing in and outside Singapore, as well as planning, organising and delivering bilingual alumni-focused programmes, events and activities.

  • Be an active part of China Engagement team in engaging Chinese alumni residing in Singapore or China.
  • Work hand-in-hand with alumni and Chinese alumni groups to create a collegial community.
  • Support overseas alumni leaders in the areas of communication and administration.
  • Curating and organising alumni events for Chinese alumni in Singapore and key cities in China.
  • Generate bilingual original content for social media posts with news and events.
  • Proposing and executing effective engagement strategies to steward and support Chinese alumni more efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other NUS colleagues on alumni activities, where relevant.
  • Support other OAR activities as and when needed.
  • Staffing NUS senior leaders at alumni events and alumni-related activities in key cities, when required.
  • Drafting speeches for NUS senior leaders speaking at alumni and alumni-related events, when required.
Qualifications

• A recognised degree with at least 7 years of work experience, preferably in engagement, partnerships or marketing.
• A self-starter who is creative, resourceful and good with people.
• A good communicator with strong diplomacy skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages to effectively engage Chinese-speaking alumni and produce bilingual content
• Good project management skills, meticulous and attentive to details.
• Hands-on, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work and travel beyond regular office hours and on weekends, when necessary.
