Our client is a Japanese global company specialising in chemicals and electronics. They seek an Assistant Sales Manager (Electronics) responsible for understanding and addressing customer challenges, mentoring and developing team members to maximise their potential, and supporting their growth in achieving departmental goals. This role will have a strong focus on new business development.

Reports to the Sales Manager and Director
【 Responsibilities 】
- Perform sales and market materials to semiconductor and electronics-related manufacturers.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers while supervising account management teams.
- Conduct market research and 3C analysis to understand the semiconductor market in Southeast Asia and develop sales strategies to generate new opportunities.
- Prepare monthly sales reports (actual, forecast, budget) for reporting to the head office.
- Travel within the Southeast Asia region as required.
- Take initiative and proactively network to expand business opportunities.

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)
- Possess a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Business or related fields,
- 6–8 years of B2B regional sales and marketing experience in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing supply chain, with a focus on functional materials or chemicals used in the production process
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication or electronics manufacturing materials, such as:
a. Speciality glass substrates
b. Ceramics for electronic components
c. Photoresist materials
d. Etching or cleaning chemicals
e, CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) slurries
f. Sputtering targets or related thin-film materials
- More than 2 years of experience in managing a team/project leader of 1-2 staff
- Challenged to do hunting sales and always proactive in analysing and exploring new business opportunities
- Willingness to travel around 1-2 times quarterly (Mostly to the Southeast Asia Region) and regional experience within this region
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication, and presentation skills, confident in presenting to audiences from different parts of the world
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes)
