Job description

The Assistant Sales Manager will support and drive sales operations, client engagement, and revenue growth for wedding and catering packages tailored to the market. He/She will also assist in executing sales strategies, managing leads, and ensuring seamless customer experience from enquiry to event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Execution

  • Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets for wedding packages, catering services, and venue bookings
  • Handle walk-in, online, and phone enquiries professionally and convert them into confirmed bookings
  • Conduct site visits, food tastings, and client meetings

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build rapport with clients, especially families and bridal parties, understanding cultural preferences and needs
  • Provide timely quotations, follow-ups, and updates to clients
  • Maintain high client satisfaction throughout pre-event, event, and post-event touchpoints

3. Operations Coordination

  • Liaise with kitchen, logistics, and event teams to ensure client requirements are executed precisely
  • Ensure all sales details are captured clearly in sales orders and handed over to operations accurately

4. Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with marketing team to promote packages through roadshows, social media, and wedding expos
  • Provide input on promotional strategies and pricing adjustments based on client feedback and market demand

5. Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain and update sales pipeline, client databases, and booking calendars
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in events, hospitality, or F&B
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in Malay and English (spoken and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays based on event schedules
