Job description

We are looking for an

Assistant / Sales Manager (m/f/d)

to join our Commercial department at Advario in Singapore, starting as soon as possible.

Your Tasks:

  1. Maintain and grow business relations and opportunities with existing/new clients, with systematic documentation and reporting using Advario ERP programmes (e.g., Salesforce).
  2. Drive a programme of Commercial Excellence under the guidance of the Director of Commercial, focusing on customer centricity, responsiveness, innovative solutions, market insight, and operational knowledge.
  3. Negotiate, conclude, and administer new contracts and renew existing contracts, supported by Legal and under the guidance of the Director of Commercial.
  4. Stay connected to oil markets, developments, and competitors' activities; develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, HSSE, Maintenance & Engineering) on business projects and customer requirements; understand basic petroleum terminal operations and explain them to customers.
  6. Support the annual budget process and financial matters; explain budget deviations as needed.
  7. Assist in brownfield projects, such as tank modifications.

Your Profile:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from a reputable university.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in sales and marketing or managerial roles, preferably in the petrochemical or petroleum storage sector.
  3. Experience in chemical sales environments (e.g., trading houses, oil MNCs) is advantageous.
  4. Good understanding of technical, logistics, operational processes, and market trends in chemicals.
  5. Knowledge of petroleum products and supply chains.
  6. Strong contract management, negotiation skills, and a broad customer network within the petroleum and oil industry.
  7. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong stakeholder management.
  8. Ability to manage relationships with senior management.
  9. Capable of performing well under stress and taking responsibility for decisions.

Please note:

  1. This position is based on Jurong Island.
  2. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.
