The Assistant Sales Manager is a sole contributor role focused on driving business growth by actively sourcing and acquiring new clients, identifying market opportunities, and expanding the company’s market presence within the food industry sector. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in identifying leads, closing deals, and building long-term customer relationships.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and drive revenue growth within the food industry sector.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.

  • Develop sales plans and forecast to identify opportunities for business growth.

  • Develop short-term and long-term strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospect potential clients through networking, referrals, market research and industry events.

  • Lead the acquisition of new customers, ensuring a steady and growing pipeline.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare business cases to support new product introductions and market entry decisions.

  • Lead initiatives for product diversification and innovative revenue streams.

  • Manage negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract agreements to secure profitable deals, ensuring mutually beneficial arrangements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment and service delivery.

  • Track and analyze sales performance against KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to Senior Management on strategic initiatives and market performance.

  • Facilitating AR collection with the Finance department.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build a strong network of contacts and stay updated on industry developments.

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Superior.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Degree in any discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience

  • Proven track record in sales management, preferably in the food service industry or related industry.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
