A leading retail company seeks dynamic candidates for both Assistant Retail Supervisor and Assistant Retail Manager positions. Roles involve driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. Ideal candidates should possess relevant educational qualifications and have strong experience in retail environments.
Working location: Island wide
Working hours: 5 days work week (Rotating), 10:15AM to 9:45 PM

(1) Assistant Retail Supervisor / Retail Supervisor (Bookstore, Stationaries etc)
Manage a specific product category (inventory, pricing, displays, sales analysis).
Drive sales growth and meet category sales targets.
Review sales trends and suggest strategies to improve performance.
Coordinate with merchandising team and suppliers on promotions and stock issues.
Handle escalated customer issues and ensure excellent service.
Train and guide Retail Assistants on product knowledge and store procedures.
Monitor team performance and ensure tasks meet company standards.
Assist in creating staff rosters and manage manpower efficiently.
Perform cashiering duties and support retail floor operations when needed.
Process purchase orders, stock reports, and maintain proper records.
Lead daily team briefings and ensure alignment on store goals.
Participate in stock-taking exercises for inventory accuracy.
Carry out additional tasks assigned by Retail or Assistant Retail Manager.
GCE 'O' Level or Diploma in Business, Retail, or related field.
At least 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
Training in retail/customer service is an advantage.
Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
(2) Assistant Retail Manager / Retail Manager (Bookstore, Stationaries etc)
Lead and motivate the retail team to meet or exceed sales KPIs.
Work with marketing to implement local store campaigns and boost customer engagement.
Monitor and manage inventory, stock replenishment, and return processes.
Ensure operational efficiency by improving procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.
Supervise stocktaking and random inventory checks for accuracy and accountability.
Oversee daily store operations including:
Opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and banking
Store cleanliness and visual merchandising
Product mix planning with department heads
Delivering excellent customer service and handling complaints professionally
Manage manpower and HR matters:
Maintain staff schedules, discipline, and training
Handle overtime claims, medical reimbursements, and counseling sessions
Participate in budget planning and support store profitability goals.
Assist with store renovations or layout improvements in coordination with the Retail GM.
Perform other duties assigned by the Regional Operations Manager (ROM).
Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
Able to work retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
