About the role
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. This full-time position will see you working closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day activities, from staff management to customer service and financial reporting.
What you'll be doing
Assist the OperationsManager in leading and motivating a team of servers, chefs and other front-of-house staff
Ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience for all guests
Monitor and optimise restaurant operations, including inventory control, cost management and revenue tracking
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high food quality and presentation standards
Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management
Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a similar assistant restaurant management role or supervisor role
Strong leadership, people management and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, budgeting and financial reporting
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
