Job description

Main Responsibilities

Report to the Restaurant Manager and support in achieving optimal business performance, maintaining high standards of food, service, health, and safety. Assist in managing the restaurant, deputising in the absence of the Managers.

Assist in analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.

Assist in preparing reports at the end of shifts/weeks, including staff control, food & cash control, and sales.

Assist in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit, and staff development.

Assist in monitoring labor and F & B costing, including inventory control and bi-monthly stock takes.

Assist in planning and coordinating menus.

Assist in managing filing systems and reading company emails.

Assist in handling disciplinary issues, conducting annual reviews, and staff confirmations.

Provide effective leadership to the food and beverage team to meet targets.

Review, evaluate operations/procedures, and suggest improvements.

Coordinate restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.

Respond to customer complaints and ensure positive customer service, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied customers into repeat clients.

Ensure all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards.

Meet and greet customers and organize table reservations.

Advise customers on menu and beverage choices.

Conduct orientation, training, and coaching for new staff.

Plan staff duty rosters and cleaning schedules.

Update GRN and perform e-Procurement.

Handle cashiering duties, including daily sales collection, cash float, petty cash claims, and control.

Perform banking duties.

Collect e-feedback from customers using iPad.

Upsell desserts, promotions, and PGR memberships.

Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs by all staff.

Perform any other duties as assigned.
