Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager (Semiconductor) to lead quality activities across the BU, collaborating with R&D on early-stage quality planning and driving improvements in IPD and development processes. You will set quality goals, manage customer requirements, and guide corrective actions to ensure product quality and process excellence.

The role requires 5+ years in quality roles with at least 3 years in a managerial position, familiarity with ISO 9001 and Six Sigma,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years in quality roles, including 3+ years in management.
• Experience in R&D quality preferred.
• Familiar with ISO9001 and quality tools (8D, QC tools, APQP, FMEA, Six Sigma, QCC).
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Familiar with hardware, software, FPGA, and mechanical development processes.
• Knowledge of IPD processes; IPD implementation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work with the R&D team on quality planning from the early stage of product development.
• Manage overall quality activities across the Business Unit, including product development, customer requirements, sales support, inventory, and product transition.
• Set quality goals for the BU and support departments in achieving them.
• Build and improve quality systems, project development processes, and IPD processes.
• Identify project risks, monitor product quality performance, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Handle customer complaints, major quality issues, and product quality problems, ensuring proper follow-up and closure.
• Monitor project process compliance and lead technical review assessments.
• Use data analysis to identify problems and improve processes continuously.
• Organize stage review meetings during the R&D phase.
• Conduct process training and strengthen team quality capabilities.
• Promote quality awareness and a strong quality culture across the BU.
