The Assistant Manager, QA is responsible for overseeing the overall quality and food safety management of products produced at the Central Kitchen. This role ensures that all food products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards, and that consistent quality assurance processes are implemented and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall quality and safety of food products produced at the Central Kitchen.
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review quality assurance and food safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct and manage regular internal inspections, hygiene audits, and quality assessments.
- Maintain and continuously improve existing quality control systems and documentation.
- Investigate customer complaints or feedback, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Validate that all products are manufactured in compliance with established QA protocols and food safety standards.
- Ensure all staff adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Monitor product quality at all stages of production and coordinate necessary improvements.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, AVA, and NEA guidelines and other relevant food safety standards.
- Supervise QA team members and support their training and development.
- Participate in product and process development activities to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assist in R&D trials, product testing, and sensory evaluation sessions.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the Chief Quality Assurance Officer or QA Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, AVA, and NEA regulatory requirements.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve quality objectives.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
