Job summary

Ley Choon Group Holdings Ltd in Singapore seeks an Assistant Project Manager to drive civil engineering projects from planning through delivery. You will work with the Project Manager, clients and teams to turn plans into successful outcomes, coordinating schedule, cost, safety, and documentation to ensure timely completion.

The role requires a recognised Civil Engineering degree and 3–4 years' relevant experience, with strong regulatory and coordination know-how.

Qualifications

• Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from PE Board accredited institution.
• 3-4 years of relevant civil engineering or construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of SP Group procedures, utility coordination, and Singapore regulations.
• Good understanding of project planning, coordination, claims, site execution, and safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Valid Class 2 or Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, drawings and client requirements to support planning and execution.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor progress, cost, productivity, quality, and resource utilisation against targets.
• Support safety compliance and performance per regulatory and client requirements.
• Conduct site checks and coordinate with EHS teams to address safety gaps.
• Identify risks and support mitigation measures and actions.
• Coordinate with operations, safety, drafting and other teams to resolve issues.

Job Description

Play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering and construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager, clients, and project teams to turn plans into successful outcomes. Drive project progress across planning, cost, safety, claims, and coordination, while proactively managing challenges, supporting the project team, and contributing to the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and managing project scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.
• Review project proposals, specifications, drawings, and client requirements to support effective project planning and execution.
• Liaise with clients and coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, cost, productivity, quality, and resource utilisation against project targets.
• Closely monitor project submissions, claims, documentation, and approvals to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Support the Project Manager in ensuring project safety compliance and performance in accordance with regulatory, company, and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site checks and work closely with EHS teams to identify and address safety gaps.
• Identify project risks and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with operations, safety, claims, drafting, and other relevant teams to resolve project issues and maintain work progress.
• Support the preparation of project reports, submissions, claims, and other required documentation.
• Attend management and client meetings, provide project updates, and follow up on key actions and issues.
• Assist in leading and coordinating the project team to ensure clear communication, accountability, and effective execution.
• Proactively support issue resolution and ensure continuity of project progress.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and overall team and organisational performance.

Qualifications

• Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and/or construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of SP Group procedures, utility coordination, and Singapore regulatory requirements.
• Good understanding of project planning, coordination, claims, site execution, and safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.
• Possession of a valid Class 2 or Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage to support site mobility.

• Work Schedule: 6-day work week.
