We seek dedicated educators and researchers to join our team, focusing on a
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Control Theory and Industrial Applications.

Position Description
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A strong background and experience in, but not limited to, one or more of the following areas is required: Robust and Adaptive Control, Data-Driven and Learning-Based Control, Model Predictive Control, Networked and Distributed Control, Quantum Control, Formal Methods in Control Synthesis, Safety and Cybersecurity of Control Systems. Past experiences in Industrial Applications such as Cyber-Physical Systems, Renewable Energy Systems and Smart Grids, Automotive and Transportation Systems, Robotics, Biomedical Systems, etc. will be positively valued.

Fresh PhD graduates will be considered but preferences are given to candidates
with postdoctoral research/teaching experience at top ranked universities.

Responsibilities
A successful candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

Research Excellence
• Disseminate new research findings in top ranked peer-reviewed journals and
premier conferences in relevant areas, contributing significantly to the domain of Control Theory and Industrial Applications.
• Secure external research funding and develop a top-notch research program.
• Generate innovations through research that meet industrial sustainability needs.

Teaching and Mentoring
• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses and design projects related to
Control Theory and Industrial Applications.
• Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows,
fostering a collaborative research environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and renovation to reflect new needs of
Control Theory and Industrial Applications.

Service and Professionalism
• Enhance research collaboration between EEE and industry partners.
• Engage in school, university, and professional service activities.
• Contribute to the academic community through participation in conferences,
seminars, and workshops.

Requirements
Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
• A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, specialized in Systems and Control, or a related field.
• A strong track-record of research and innovation, manifested in relevant
publications, awards and recognitions, in control theory and industrial applications.
• Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
• Strong commitment to academic service and leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
