Job summary

Nanyang Technological University’s School of Biological Sciences in Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the molecular or cell biology of disease. The appointee will mentor undergraduate and graduate students, collaborate across disciplines, and teach general and advanced biology courses.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a relevant Ph.D., preferably in Biology, with postdoctoral or other professional experiences in related research fields.
• Competitive applicants should have a strong record of research productivity and a well-developed research plan.
• The successful candidate is expected to teach both general and advanced undergraduate courses, as well as graduate courses in biology.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic research team and establish an independent extramurally funded program.
• Establish and maintain a research group at SBS/NTU focusing on molecular or cell biology of disease.
• Contribute to undergraduate and graduate mentoring and teaching within the department.
