Title: Assistant Production Manager

Responsibilities
  1. Production Planning & Coordination
    • Coordinating in daily, weekly, and monthly production planning with Customer Service team to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
    • Coordinate raw material availability with the procurement team to ensure continuous production flow.
    • Monitor batch production schedules, ensuring efficient allocation of manpower and resources.
  2. Operations Supervision
    • Oversee the blending, compounding, and filling processes of fragrance oils according to formulation and quality standards.
    • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols are strictly followed by all production staff.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production processes.
    • Promptly report any incidents or issues arising in the production department to the management team.
  3. Quality & Compliance
    • Work closely with the Quality Control teams to maintain product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
    • Ensure all production batches meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for any deviations or non-conformance.
  4. Equipment & Facility Management
    • Monitor performance of machinery and coordinate preventive maintenance with the engineering team.
    • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the production facility.
  5. Team Leadership & Training
    • Collaborate with the supervisor to plan daily operations, assign tasks to production staff, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and productivity.
    • Participate in training new employees and upskilling the current team on updated procedures or safety practices.
  6. Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including batch logs, downtime reports, yield analysis, and other relevant documentation essential to the production department.
    • Preparing daily and monthly production reports for management team review.
  7. Continuous Improvement
    • Lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity, while proactively proposing these initiatives to the management team.
    • Participate in Lean Manufacturing or 5S activities and suggest improvements in workflow and layout.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in Production Management, GMP, or Lean Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in fragrance, cosmetics, essential oils, or chemical-based production.
  • Hands-on experience with batch processing, mixing/blending operations, and production supervision.
  • Good understanding of fragrance oil formulation processes, raw material handling, and blending techniques.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment such as reactors, mixing tanks, and filling lines.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 5S, and basic quality assurance protocols.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Capable of guiding, training, and motivating a team to meet production targets.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams including QA/QC, warehouse, and planning.
  • Able to identify issues in production processes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and basic data interpretation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with production management or ERP systems (e.g., DE, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Willing to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, including production floor supervision.

Salary: SGD3,800 - SGD5,800 (depend on experiences)
