Job description

Job Title: Assistant Production Engineer

Location: Ang Mo Kio (Nearest MRT: Yio Chu Kang – North-South Line)

Salary Range: SGD 2,700 – SGD 3,200/month

Overview:

As an Assistant Production Engineer, you will work under the supervision of the department manager to ensure efficient coordination and execution of production activities across various sites. You will be part of a dynamic production team responsible for managing resources (mainly contractors), optimizing operations at the contractor workshop, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality production outcomes for projects. This role demands initiative, technical expertise, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail to drive continuous improvement and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery and Execution

  • Assist in managing production schedules to align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Coordinate with project managers to understand requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

2. Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Support the enforcement of quality standards and procedures to ensure production excellence.
  • Help implement corrective and preventive measures to improve product reliability.

3. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to health and safety standards at both vendor and in-house workshop locations.

4. Communication and Collaboration

  • Foster effective communication within the production team and across departments such as engineering, procurement, and logistics.

5. Technical Abilities

  • Assist in integration, assembly, and fabrication of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for assembled systems.
  • Conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) on products and sub-assemblies.

Requirements:

  • Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in assembly, production, and testing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
