Job description

We're a dynamic production team creating current affairs content that's informative, engaging, and thought-provoking. We're looking for a talented Freelance Current Affairs Assistant Producer to join our team and help bring our stories to life.

As a key member of our team, you'll research current topics, scout filming locations, plan logistics, and coordinate interviews, searching for ideal profiles to share their stories. You'll also source archives, B-rolls, and props, securing necessary rights and permissions, and manage data wrangling, including footage transfer and transcription.

When we're on location, you'll be the go-to person, assisting the team and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You'll archive footage and keep our library organized and up to date, ensuring our assets are readily accessible for future productions.

This role is perfect for someone who's a strong team player with a never-say-die attitude, eager to learn the ropes to be a factual current affairs producer and tackle challenges head-on. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and your creativity, resourcefulness, and determination will shine.

To succeed in this role, you'll need 1-2 years of experience in media production or be a fresh graduate with a passion for storytelling and seeing your efforts live on TV. Strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a keen eye for detail are essential. You'll also need to be available to start on or about June-July and work on weekends when necessary.
