Job summary

STMicroelectronics Singapore is hiring a Shift Assistant Process Engineer to support daily line operations in photolithography. You will troubleshoot out-of-control situations, decide lot dispositions, and execute engineering tasks with minimal supervision on a 12-hour rotating shift.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or related fields is required, with 1–2 years of photolithography experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • 1–2 years of relevant Photolithography experience.
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Good teamwork, communication and documentation abilities.
  • Shift-work experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily line operations within a team on the production floor.
  • Troubleshoot out-of-control situations and decide lot disposition in out-of-spec cases.
  • Execute engineering tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Work on a 12-hour shift pattern, rotating every 2 weeks (day/night).
  • Collaborate across functional groups to meet KPIs.

As a Shift Assistant Process Engineer in STMicroelectronics Singapore, you will: -
  • Work in a team, managing daily line operations, handling a variety of photolithography tool types.
  • Troubleshoot out-of-control situations and decide on the lot disposition in an out-of-spec situation. Follow out-of-control action plans which have been put in place.
  • Execute engineering tasks, independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Work on a 12-hour shift pattern, rotating every 2 weeks, day/night, standby duties and overtime when required.
  • Work across functional group to ensure key performance indices are met.
Candidates who best fit this position should have/be: -
  • A Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science Engineering.
  • Minimally 1-2 years of relevant working experience in Photolithography processes is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Semiconductor processes.
  • Attention to detail and have good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good teamwork, communication and documentation skills
  • Familiar with daily operational related matters; prior experience to shift-work is an advantage
  • Able to involve actively with equipment counterpart to work on tool/process improvement.
