Job description

  • Responsible for overseas and 4 smaller South Asian countries, managing the vehicle pricing operations.
  • Analyze market, product, promotion, customer profile, demand & supply, and competitors movement to identify optimum vehicle price setting.
  • Create business proposals for new vehicle pricing, negotiate and seek approval from all stakeholders and management.
  • Update profit calculation sheets with various cost factors periodically and plan for profit improvement counter measures.
  • Conduct cost study to understand vehicle cost movement.
  • Negotiate appropriate profit distribution with related stakeholders including global head office and national distributors.
  • Support distributors and related planning functions in managing product portfolio (e.g. planning for new product introductions as well as product updates).
  • Manage other ad-hoc request or issues from internal functional departments, global head office, regional partner office and national distributors.
  • Support management to prepare presentation documents for top management reporting when required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business
  • 5 -10 years of experience and keen in Automotive industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiation skills
  • Leadership and coaching skills: able to lead a small team of junior pricing specialists, providing on-the-job training and development
  • Flair for numbers as well as strong analytical skills
  • Data analysis, complex calculations and numerical simulations, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Visual presentation skills: able to create professional documents using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Able to easily create good working relationship with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Able to multi-task and to take strong ownership of tasks
  • Willing to travel on short notice and work long hours when necessary
