Job description

We seek assistant teachers who are passionate about children and enthusiastic about engaging them through meaningful experiences such as hands-on purposeful play. Job Responsibilities

1. Use effective classroom management skills, coupled with effective disciplinary skills in accordance with the school’s no-shout policy.
2. Assist class teachers in implementing programmes for the class based on inquiry and Reggio-inspired approaches, as well as the school’s framework for culinary and outdoor experiential learning.
3. Help set up a warm, cozy, yet engaging environment that promotes self-directed learning in accordance with the Reggio Emilia approach.
4. Carry out routine care of children in a patient and kind manner, creating teachable moments.
5. Ensure the safety and hygiene of children through good routine care and necessary measures.
6. Build and maintain a professional yet friendly relationship with parents.

Requirements

• FECCE certification or a minimum of 1-year assisting experience in a preschool in Singapore.
