Job summary

An integrated floriculture firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to manage landscape projects. The role involves planning, monitoring project progress, preparing documentation, and conducting site inspections. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in relevant fields and 2–5 years of experience in project management. Strong knowledge in landscape construction and proficiency in MS Project and AutoCAD are preferred. This position offers a salary of up to $4700 plus benefits.

Position : Assistant Operations Manager (MUST HAVE Landscape/Horticulture/Supervisor role)

Location : Jalan Lekar (Choa Chu Kang / Bus nearby)

Working hours : 5 days a week; Mondays Fridays: 8.30am-5.30pm

Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $4700 + 14 days Annual leave + Medical claims up to $400 a year.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring landscape projects from initiation to completion.
  • Support Project Managers in day-to-day project operations, including manpower, materials, and equipment allocation.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation such as RFIs, change orders, progress claims, and project close-out reports.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality, safety, and adherence to specifications and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and horticultural best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery standards.
  • Provide timely updates and resolve queries to maintain strong client satisfaction.
  • Assist in business development activities and contribute to tender submissions and proposals when required.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and procurement schedules.
  • Monitor project costs against budgets and highlight discrepancies.
  • Support the company’s profitability objectives by ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, site correspondence, and financial documentation.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project reports for management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in landscape or construction project management.
  • Prior experience in a landscaping company or built environment industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, horticultural practices, irrigation systems, and site management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project) and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural/technical drawings.
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license (preferred).
