Job summary

PSA Marine is seeking a full-time Assistant Operations Executive within the Pilotage Services Department at the Mission Command Centre in Singapore. This role involves leading the planning and deployment of marine resources, ensuring excellent service at the world's busiest container transhipment hub. Candidates should ideally possess a diploma, good communication and decision-making skills under pressure, and be willing to work overnight shifts as part of the diverse terminal operations team.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Candidates should be able to remain calm and make logical decisions under stress and emergency circumstances.
  • Prior experience in operations planning will be considered favourably.
  • Willingness to perform overnight shift work is required.

Responsibilities

  • Take leadership in the planning and deployment of pilotage, harbour towage and waterboat resource to support 24/7 operations.
  • Uphold the efficiency of company’s services which is part of the Singapore maritime ecosystem.
  • Directly communicate with vessels to coordinate arrival and service timings.
  • Attend to all customer queries and request new orders, amendments and cancellations.

Assistant Operations Executives play a crucial role in providing excellent service levels and deploying marine resources within Singapore waters!

  • Take leadership in the planning and deployment of pilotage, harbour towage and waterboat resource to support 24/7 operations of the busiest port in the world;
  • Uphold the efficiency of company’s services which is part of Singapore maritime ecosystem;
  • Directly communicate with vessels to coordinate arrival and service timings; and
  • Attend to all customer queries and request new orders, amendments and cancellations.

The successful candidate shall preferably:-

  • Possess at least a Diploma or equivalent;
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Be able to remain calm and make logical decisions under stress and emergency circumstances;
  • Candidates with prior experience in operations planning will be considered favourably; and
  • Be willing to perform overnight shift work
