An established industry player is seeking an Assistant Nurse Educator to join their Education and Training department. This role involves assisting in training needs analysis, developing clinical education programs, and supporting newly employed nurses through induction and ongoing education. We are looking for an Assistant Nurse Educator in our Education and Training department.
Key Responsibilities
To assist in the conduct of training needs analysis of all clinical nursing areas/departments.
To develop, implement and evaluate clinical based education programmes to meet the competency and learning needs of all levels of nurses.
To facilitate clinical supervision and support for newly employed nurses in the respective units by conducting induction and continuing nursing education programmes.
To collaborate with the nurse Managers/Clinicians and other health professionals on relevant staff development and in-service education.
To assist in developing curriculum following constructive recommendations on training/practice issues in order to meet the current educational needs of the hospital.
To assist in the preparation, review and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and clinical competency checklists for the department.
To perform regular assessment of nurses’ competencies to ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of professional and quality nursing standards.
To collaborate with Nurse Manager/Clinician in the performance appraisals of staff in his/her department.
To exercise prudence in the utilization of nursing education and training budget and be accountable and responsible for the budget assigned per project.
Requirements
Diploma of Nursing or Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurses.
Post-basic Specialty Certificate in Nursing Education or equivalent.
Valid BCLS and AED certificate, preferably as Instructor.
At least 5 years clinical experience as a Senior Staff Nurse or Clinical Instructor.
Working Hours
8am to 5.30pm (Monday to Thursday)
8am to 5pm (Friday)
