Job summary

Intertek Testing Services (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to join its materials testing team. You will perform cutting, preparation, etching and microstructure/corrosion assessments on metallographic specimens.

Willingness to rotate shifts is required; candidates with a Diploma/Degree in Materials Science or related fields are welcome, and aerospace experience is a plus. Candidates with no experience are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, metallurgical preparation and microstructure/corrosion assessment of metallographic specimens.
• Preparation of etchants and etching of metallographic specimens.
• Perform RCA/troubleshooting on equipment or erratic test results.
• Ensure maintenance, including calibration of testing and measuring equipment is up-to-date and in proper order.
• General laboratory housekeeping.
• Perform measurement uncertainty, method validation, test method assessment, test method validation etc. as and when required.
