Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Marketing Manager reports to the Head Of Omni Channel to activate marketing strategy, develop, and execute customer acquisition initiatives, marketing campaigns, and other marketing efforts for Changi Airport Travel Retail Operations and IShop Changi.


These marketing efforts should drive new customers, sales growth, and enhance customer engagement for liquor & tobacco products. He/she is responsible for driving marketing campaigns and initiatives to maximize revenue, increase conversion, reduce churn, and drive long-term engagement with customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute integrated promotional campaigns and marketing activities (both online and offline) for new customer acquisition in key markets such as Asia and Oceania countries to meet sales, conversion, and engagement KPIs.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, campaign effectiveness, and feedback to optimize current campaigns and inform future promotions.
  • Brainstorm innovative campaign concepts that engage, interest, and motivate purchases.
  • Collaborate with agencies and internal teams on deliverables and KPIs focused on conversion, profitability, and engagement.
  • Manage marketing collaterals, including copywriting and proofreading, in coordination with external creative agencies.
  • Coordinate with Operations to develop strategies and initiatives for product/brand launches and promotions.
  • Develop and implement new customer acquisition initiatives to increase both online and offline sales.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities, assisting in deal structuring and execution to enhance brand awareness and sales.
  • Liaise with Tour Agencies, Banks, Credit Card companies, Airlines, and Payment Gateways (e.g., Alipay, WeChat Pay) to increase footfall.
  • Utilize data analysis from sources like nationality reports, average ticket value, passenger traffic, and STB/CAG reports to inform marketing strategies.
  • Manage ad-hoc events and festival promotions to boost sales.
  • Prepare and present monthly sales reports with insights for business growth and decision-making.
  • Negotiate with brands and vendors regarding advertising space sales within stores.
  • Ensure the smooth implementation of marketing initiatives to meet business objectives.
  • Perform other assignments or projects as directed by management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Analyze market conditions, identify growth opportunities, and present strategic reports.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend responses.
  • Support key projects and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Mass Communications, or Business Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience with a proven track record.
  • Experience demonstrating measurable results in marketing roles.
  • Results-driven with strong performance tracking skills.
  • Meticulous, organized, and good at time management.
  • Strong analytical, interpretational, and communication skills.
  • Team player with strong work ethics and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Korean to communicate with HQ in South Korea.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, and Photoshop.
