As an Assistant Manager, Workplace Safety & Compliance (Healthcare), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain adherence to workplace safety, health, and fire safety regulations, ensuring timely resolution of compliance gaps, incident reporting, and corrective actions.

  • Key areas include Safe handling and storage of regulated materials (in alignment with environmental and safety laws), Occupational safety protocols (following national workplace safety standards).

  • Establish and maintain a structured safety management system, including risk evaluation, inspection protocols, incident analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with Fire Safety Managers to oversee fire prevention programs, including routine inspections, emergency drills, and staff training.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for the Workplace Safety Committee, reviewing incidents, compiling reports, and providing strategic recommendations to leadership.

  • Oversee contractor compliance with site safety policies, including permit-to-work systems, risk mitigation measures, and on-site supervision.

  • Support operational and project-based initiatives in coordination with facility management teams.

  • Undertake other assigned duties as directed by department leadership.

Requirements:

  • Min degree or equivalent

  • At least 4 - 5 years of related working experience in maintaining organizational WSH and Fire Safety systemm ensuring both operational and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Professional license preferred: MOM Licensed Workplace Safety & Health Officer, SCDF Certified Senior/Fire Safety Manager, NEA Licensed Environmental Control Officer.
