As an Assistant Manager, Workplace Safety & Compliance (Healthcare), you will be responsible for the following duties:
Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain adherence to workplace safety, health, and fire safety regulations, ensuring timely resolution of compliance gaps, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
Key areas include Safe handling and storage of regulated materials (in alignment with environmental and safety laws), Occupational safety protocols (following national workplace safety standards).
Establish and maintain a structured safety management system, including risk evaluation, inspection protocols, incident analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with Fire Safety Managers to oversee fire prevention programs, including routine inspections, emergency drills, and staff training.
Serve as the primary liaison for the Workplace Safety Committee, reviewing incidents, compiling reports, and providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
Oversee contractor compliance with site safety policies, including permit-to-work systems, risk mitigation measures, and on-site supervision.
Support operational and project-based initiatives in coordination with facility management teams.
Undertake other assigned duties as directed by department leadership.
Requirements:
Min degree or equivalent
At least 4 - 5 years of related working experience in maintaining organizational WSH and Fire Safety systemm ensuring both operational and regulatory requirements are met.
Professional license preferred: MOM Licensed Workplace Safety & Health Officer, SCDF Certified Senior/Fire Safety Manager, NEA Licensed Environmental Control Officer.
