Responsibilities
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different plants.
  • Manage the sharing of personnel between plants to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment in production schedules, quality standards, and operational procedure.
  • Oversee interplant logistics, including raw material transfers and finished goods distribution.
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities and ensure smooth order fulfilment, ensure all bookings under Shipping team are arranged according to shipping schedule and dateline without any hiccups.
  • Work closely with respective Leader on daily resources planning and shift scheduling to ensure smooth running of operations at all plants.
  • Work closely with customer’s plant managers on all matters pertaining to shipments and operations.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meeting to the operations team
  • Conduct in-depth investigation on all process deviation with relevant parties. Initiate CAPA and collaborate with Quality Assurance team to resolve the issues.
  • Perform regular inspections and process audit to ensure process compliance among the workers.
  • Ensures all workers are following safety protocols, wearing appropriate protective equipment, and operating machinery safely. Conducts regular safety meetings, perform safety audits, and monitor the work environment for potential hazards. Addressing safety violations and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Manage and provide guidance and support to the warehouse team, conduct training to ensure all staffs are cross-trained and review the latest development of quality expectation towards effective operation.
  • Plan shift scheduling effectively for smooth operations, address attendance issues, maintain discipline and uphold team morale to maintain productivity.
  • Ensure tasks are allocated based on the strengths and abilities of each staff.
  • Ensure that staff are informed about any changes. This may involve holding training sessions to review new procedures, equipment, or safety protocols. Supervisors must ensure that all employees are aware of any updates to production standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess each employee’s performance.
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management/ Other fields.
  • Min 5 years in pharma manufacturing or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution practice (GDP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDocP).
  • Strong leadership and operations management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Team management and communication skills.
  • CAPA investigative and writing skills.
  • Multi-plant management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP.
