We are looking for an analyst to support the strategic planning division. You will support the development of strategies to chart the way forward for the tourism sector. The individual will play a key role in using data to enhance understanding of Singapore's visitors, markets, and tourism products, to refine and address business problems as well as identify opportunities for growth in Singapore’s tourism industry.

- Data Analytics
- Apply statistical techniques to process and analyse datasets, working with large, complex datasets and multiple data sources.
- Perform data wrangling and transformation to prepare raw data into analysis-ready formats, apply statistical/data analytics techniques to extract insights, and use data visualisation tools to communicate findings effectively.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Deliver insights that address business questions through reports, dashboards, etc.
- Project Management
- Work closely with the strategic planning division and business units to manage data relevance, quality, and compliance with data management guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and implementation.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as business analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to integrate and deploy data feeds and dashboards into analytics platforms.
- Tracking, Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Manage tourism performance data, tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Understand stakeholder research outcomes and provide timely advice and support.
- Provide quantitative data advisory, including data collection, quality, pre-processing, management, and analysis.
- Data Capability
- Lead and promote greater data use among business users to answer questions.
- Share best practices within the organisation to uplift data capabilities.
What we are looking for:

- Trained in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in data collection, pre-processing, wrangling, analytics, and visualisation, with a proven track record in advanced data analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and experience solving strategic or analytical problems using quantitative methods.
- Excellent organisation, project, and time management skills.
- Ability to synthesize research/data from multiple sources to derive meaningful conclusions.
- Experience in modelling and creating dashboards using tools like QlikSense and QuickSight is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex data and analysis outcomes clearly and effectively.
- Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments is advantageous.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management.
- Proficiency in English, statistical knowledge, and data manipulation tools such as R, Python, SQL.
- Proficient in Excel and Power Pivot; experience with AWS services is advantageous.
