You will head a team of Design/Coordination Engineers, ensuring drawings meet authorities requirements and project specifications. You will liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and authorities on design matters, prepare technical submissions, manage approvals, resolve design issues, and drive value engineering to improve

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and authority regulations.
• Independent, analytical, highly motivated with good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Design for Safety for Professionals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Design/Coordination Engineers coordinating drawings with consultants.
• Act as liaison between consultants, clients, contractors and authorities on design matters.
• Guide the team in preparing technical submissions (shop drawings, materials approval, method statements).
• Coordinate and track submission processes to local authorities for approvals.
• Resolve design and technical issues by liaising with Architecture, M&E teams and authorities.
• Review RFAs and RFIs for design clarification.
• Initiate and evaluate value engineering proposals to improve cost, safety, constructability and quality.
