Assistant Manager, Surgical Operations

Job Summary:

• Located at Queenstown

• 5 Days (8.30AM to 6.00PM)

• Basic up to $5,000

• AWS + VB

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of assigned service points, ensuring efficient daily management of front counter services, administrative tasks, and operational matters.

• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and other stakeholders to address system and process issues, ensuring smooth operations.

• Develop and implement innovative service improvements to enhance service levels and patient care.

• Meet volume and financial targets for clinical objectives assigned to the service points.

• Manage services through the preparation of annual financial budgets, regular performance reviews with clinical leaders, and the development of new service offerings.

• Lead a team of non-nursing staff providing services at the service points, ensuring effective team management and performance.

• Facilitate two-way communication between staff and management, ensuring timely information sharing, escalation of issues, and recommending solutions to operational challenges.

• Participate in committees and take on additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in any discipline with at least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

• Previous healthcare operational experience is a plus.

• Strong project management skills with experience in fostering teamwork and cross-department collaboration.

• Able to confidently engage with senior management and stakeholders, both internally and externally.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, along with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with hospital software applications is advantageous.

• Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
