Integrated into the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core (ICC) curriculum, CSL bridges academic learning with meaningful community service, aiming to cultivate socially responsible, empathetic, and civically engaged graduates. Through structured training, hands‑on service with partner organisations, and individual and team‑based reflective learning, students develop vital skills such as active listening, advocacy, and project management. The initiative builds on NTU’s strong culture of volunteerism and reflects a broader educational vision that blends intellectual growth with real‑world impact. The new initiative will be managed by the new CSL office.

  • Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Engage with alumni, donors, government agencies, non‑profit organisations, and other partners to foster long‑term involvement and support for CSL requirements.
  • Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Monitor implementation effectiveness through data collection, analysis, and stakeholder feedback, propose enhancements and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CSL delivery.
