Qualifications

About the Job

The SUSS Core supports the university’s mission by providing a transformative experience that educates students holistically – cognitively, socially, and creatively. The Assistant Manager (Service-Learning) reports to the Head (Service-Learning), and is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of Service-Learning’s portfolio of programmes in collaboration with all stakeholders to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the SUSS Core.


What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage and provide administrative support for the experiential components of the NIE301 Learning with Communities course, including contract management and onsite support for collaboration with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with community partners by conducting regular reviews and evaluating feedback in support of meaningful and impactful stakeholder experience.
  • Coordinate, manage and administer secretariat functions for annual university awards.
  • Oversee development and administration of grants that support Service-Learning programmes and initiatives.
  • Monitor grant deliverables and prepare annual financial updates for donor impact report.
  • Support the monitoring and implementation of SUSS students’ experiential graduation requirements.

Others

  • Support department events and activities, as well as university-wide projects and activities.
  • Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Degree holder with at least 5 years of professional experience preferably in the education and/or community sector. Candidates with fewer years of work experience or those exploring a career transition may be considered for a Senior Executive role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, networking and presentation skills.
  • A resourceful team player and leader with initiative and interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity.
  • Strong coordination, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Intellectually inquisitive; with a good awareness of current and global affairs.
  • Experience in data analytics, awards, grants and/or funds administration is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Professional applications.
