Job description:
This role focuses on driving CCMHD's communications to engage, empower, and enable clients/caregivers in help-seeking. It will also involve engaging with interagency and national stakeholders to align, synthesize, and co-create initiatives, including new non-funded partners, to better understand the sector landscape and explore collaboration.
- Drive communication strategies and implementation through an integrated comms strategy, including:
- Conduct research, analyze best practices, and synthesize information to identify, strategize, and prioritize communication initiatives and resources.
- Develop and enhance resources with an implementation plan, marketing, distribution plan, and feedback collection.
- Create strategic and innovative communications, campaigns, and publicity related to mental health, dementia, and caregiving, providing coordination and strategic advice to teams based on data-driven insights.
- Cultivate stories to showcase the good work of our partners, with targeted media engagement to promote help-seeking behavior.
- Organize national events to complement campaigns and publicity efforts.
- Drive sense-making and strategic partnerships with CMH Partners:
- Engage identified partners to co-create aligned communication strategies and solutions through sense-making and expert panels, in collaboration with program managers.
- Lead conversations and foster thought leadership among partners via the Communications/Resources Expert Panel.
- Engage non-funded partners to gather insights and explore potential collaborations for sector development.
- Build a knowledge database and recognition of stakeholders.
- Enhance and improve communication initiatives continuously:
- Refine communication tactics based on data insights and feedback.
- Evaluate communication outcomes to address gaps such as stigma and openness to help-seeking.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in running campaigns and resource development.
- Experience in partnership engagement and design thinking.
- Proficiency in design software such as Canva.
- Strong project management, writing, and presentation skills.
- Good change management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Outgoing, friendly, and able to work well with diverse leadership styles.
- Proactive with a creative, self-starter attitude, capable of identifying gaps and driving change.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
