Job summary

NTU Singapore is a leading research-intensive university seeking an infrastructure and research computing support professional for CCDS. You will help manage labs and centralised computing facilities, including GPU and server environments.

The role requires Linux knowledge and experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, and AI/ML infrastructure. You will collaborate with faculty, researchers and students, driving efficiency and adopting new AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in IT, CS, Computing, Data Science, AI, Engineering.
• AI/Generative AI, ML, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing certifications advantageous.
• Experience in technical support, infrastructure administration or research computing.
• Linux knowledge required; scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell advantageous.
• Experience with servers, GPU systems, virtualization, cloud platforms, or AI/ML research infra advantageous.
• Strong organisational, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research and technology-driven environment.
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging AI and computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the operations, infrastructure and technical environments of CCDS Graduate Research Laboratories and centralised research computing facilities, including GPU, server and specialised research equipment.
• Ensure the operational readiness, reliability and effective functioning of laboratory and research computing infrastructure, including the configuration, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of workstations, servers and GPU-enabled systems.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor management and asset lifecycle activities, ensuring research infrastructure and equipment are appropriately maintained and available to meet faculty, researcher and student needs.
• Administer laboratory access, safety, compliance and audit requirements, ensuring that research environments operate in accordance with relevant policies and standards.
• Work with faculty, researchers, students and other stakeholders to coordinate infrastructure requirements and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of research laboratory and computing operations.
• Leverage Generative AI and AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to enhance information analysis, technical documentation, workflow automation, troubleshooting and operational productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certification(s) in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, IT Infrastructure, or related technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience in technical support, infrastructure administration, laboratory operations, or research computing environments.
• Linux knowledge is required; scripting or programming knowledge such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is advantageous.
• Experience with servers, GPU systems, workstations, virtualization, cloud platforms, scientific computing, or AI/ML research infrastructure is advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Generative AI and modern AI productivity tools, with the ability to apply them effectively to technical, operational, analytical, and administrative work.
• Strong organisational, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research and technology-driven environment.
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging AI and computing technologies.
