Job description:
As part of the cutting-edge development of Changi Airport's Terminal 5 (T5), you will play a crucial role in managing the design, implementation, and comissioning of the Automated People Mover (APM) systems. T5 is set to be one of the world's largest and most technologically advanced airport terminals, and your expertise will contribute to its success. You will oversee the full lifecycle of the APM system's deployment, from design to final implementation. This includes close collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure the project meets deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Manage the comprehensive design and implementation of the Automated People Mover (APM) system for Terminal 5, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and specifications.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and successful outcomes.
Innovation & Technology: Incorporate the latest innovations in automation and transportation technologies to create a world-class APM system, enhancing the passenger experience and operational efficiency at T5.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the APM system meets all relevant international and local regulations, standards, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of the project, proactively identify risks or delays, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation and provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks or challenges that may arise during the project execution phase.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Up to 5 years of relevant experience in APM systems or rail transportation systems is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Highly motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
Familiarity with project management software and tools is an advantage.
A proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
