Job description

Reporting to the Compensation & Benefits (C&B) team, the Assistant Manager/ Senior Assistant Manager will provide support in designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s C&B programs. This role involves key responsibilities in ensuring the smooth execution of annual compensation cycles, including the administration of merit increments and performance bonuses, as part of the University’s talent and retention strategies. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the organization’s talent strategies by supporting the team in implementing competitive C&B practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of C&B frameworks and schemes to attract and retain talent.

  • Support the annual compensation cycle, including:

    • Simulating merit increment and performance bonus calculations.

    • Preparing communication materials for stakeholders regarding the merit increment and performance bonus cycle.

    • Compiling and validating performance bonus and merit increment data to ensure accurate and timely payouts.

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to provide data-driven insights for enhancing C&B strategies.

  • Support job evaluation exercises, contributing to the analysis of benchmarking data to maintain competitiveness and internal equity.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. NTU Shared Services, HR Business Partners, HRIS team etc) to ensure seamless implementation of compensation and benefits programs.

  • Participate in key C&B projects, driving operational excellence and delivering timely results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with 4–6 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits or a related HR function.

  • Familiarity with rewards methodologies such as job evaluation and salary benchmarking is advantageous.

  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to handle data and produce actionable recommendations.

  • Attention to detail and adopts a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
