Job summary

Onion Search Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a QA/QC professional to manage documentation, planning, and site quality control across construction projects. The role emphasizes compliance with ISO 9001 standards and BCA requirements, with coordination of NCRs and quality audits.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation, submission, and control of project QA/QC documentation.
Coordinate and conduct site inspections and quality checks on works.
Identify and report non-conforming materials or works (NCRs).
Perform internal and external quality audits and ensure QMS compliance.
Liaise with stakeholders on quality matters (clients, consultants, regulators).
Monitor purchased materials and calibration of inspection equipment.
Prepare monthly QA/QC reports and conduct quality training on site.

Job description

Our client is in construction industry (Grade A1 Contractor/ Class 1 General Builder) and they provide full suite of integrated construction services and solutions in both the public and private sectors.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

Documentation and Planning: Assisting in the preparation, submission, and control of project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and other quality documentation for client/consultant approval.
Site Inspections and Testing: Coordinating, monitoring, and conducting regular site inspections and quality checks on structural, architectural, and M&E works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA's Good Industry Practice, CONQUAS standards).
Non-Conformance Management: Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or works, issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to subcontractors, and following up to ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Audits and Compliance: Performing internal and external quality audits and ensuring the project's Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
Liaison and Coordination: Acting as a key liaison for quality-related matters with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities like the BCA.
Material Control: Monitoring and conducting verification of purchased materials and products, as well as managing the calibration of inspection and test equipment.
Reporting and Training: Preparing monthly QAQC reports for management review and conducting quality training sessions for on- site staff and subcontractors.
