Job Brief

You will be part of the procurement team supporting project requirements. The candidate will report directly to the Project SCM Manager and matrix to the Head of Procurement.

Job Description

  1. Support the Project SCM Manager on project-related procurement aspects.
  2. Report to the Project SCM Manager on total production costs, supplier delivery timeliness, and quality performance of assigned buys.
  3. Manage material costing for assigned systems, ensuring it meets budget requirements.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of assigned systems and support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  5. Assist in SCM Commodity & Competency sections (e.g., Fabrication & Vetronics Group).
  6. Coordinate with SCM-MMD group on system/buy delivery, warehousing, and material distribution.
  7. Collaborate with SCM-SQM group on supplier quality performance.
  8. Engage with designers regarding eBOM and drawings for part fabrication.
  9. Work with Designer, QA, and ME to review FA/Print for all CAT1 suppliers.
  10. Identify and communicate potential risks to the Project SCM Manager to prevent production disruptions.
  11. Determine LLT, EUC purchases, and identify potential sole sources for project materials.
  12. Update and communicate with suppliers regarding changes in product/drawings (ECOs) and delivery requirements aligned with MPS.
  13. Manage purchase order issuance, monitor PO status, and assist Finance in resolving payment issues with suppliers.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent.
  • Additional qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management are a plus.
  • 5 to 8 years of procurement experience, preferably in a mechanical manufacturing environment, with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Singaporean Only.
