Assistant Manager, Payroll

As the Assistant Manager, Payroll, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll processes. You will lead a team of payroll specialists to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery, statutory compliance, and seamless stakeholder management.

Description

• Supervise day-to-day payroll operations including pre-payroll setup, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities like IRAS submissions and month-end closing.
• Manage employee data updates, CPF processing, government claims, and payroll-related payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory requirements (IRAS, CPF, etc.).
• Lead and coach a team of payroll staff to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and other key stakeholders to support payroll activities and business readiness.
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Serve as point of contact for internal/external auditors and tax agents on payroll matters.
• Provide coverage and support for payroll processing across multiple entities as needed.

Profile

• Experience in managing high-volume, outsourced payroll operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent client management and interpersonal communication abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore's statutory payroll requirements.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, organized, and process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
