A leading insurance firm in Singapore is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager/ Manager for Marine Underwriting. This role involves underwriting marine business, developing products, and supporting strategic discussions. Ideal candidates will have a degree and substantial industry experience, along with strong communication and business acumen.

Degree in any discipline from a good institute or ACII or FCII
5-10 years working in (re)insurance industry in Singapore as an Underwriter or Broker.
Handling a portfolio of Marine Cargo, Marine Liabilities and Specie business.
Strong business acumen to understand economic and business models and good understanding of local developments.
Good relationship with intermediaries.

Good command of English.
Underwrite Marine business within Delegated Underwriting Authority.
Co-operate closely with Distribution and Product Leaders to develop products that meet the requirements of ourdistribution partners and their customers.
Production of Marine business, working closely with Distribution team.
Support annual Business Planning and Strategy discussions.
Any other duties from time to time assigned by Management or CUO
