The National Arts Council (NAC) champions the arts in Singapore. You will be responsible for:

  • Sustainability Initiatives

    • Lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategy and initiatives

    • Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels to prepare write-ups for sustainability report

    • Implement, monitor and report on key performance indicators and initiatives

    • Present sustainability performance to senior management and recommendations to achieve organisational goals

    • Plan and coordinate sustainability awareness campaigns and staff engagement activities to drive sustainability initiatives and practices within NAC

    • Create internal communications and infographics to promote sustainability initiatives and encourage staff participation to promote environmentally conscious practices

    • Oversee carbon emissions measurement and reporting

    • Implement green office practices and waste reduction programmes

    • Manage sustainability-related compliance requirements

    • Develop partnerships with environmental organisations and stakeholders

  • Emergency Preparedness Management

    • Oversee business continuity planning and lead the organisation's emergency preparedness and response capabilities

    • Develop and maintain emergency response protocols and plans and business continuity frameworks

    • Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels to identify critical business functions and develop contingency plans for various emergency scenarios

    • Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills, tabletop exercises and training sessions

    • Maintain and update crisis management protocols and communication procedures

    • Liaise with relevant agencies and stakeholders on emergency planning

    • Ensure readiness of emergency response teams and equipment

    • Monitor and report on business continuity metrics and programme effectiveness

  • Office administrative matters including, but not limited to:

    • Providing logistics support for council meetings

    • Processing of gift declarations by staff and invoices

    • Preparation of appreciation gifts for council members

    • Corp Pass administration

    • Contract management for NAC’s public liability insurance

  • Working in a team, the officer will also cover the areas of facilities and office management, knowledge management and staff wellbeing, as and when needed.

What we are looking for

  • Candidates with prior experience in sustainability or business continuity planning would be preferred

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop and implement systematic and data-driven approach to measuring programme effectiveness

  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach to identifying and mitigating potential challenges with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation

  • Strong project management and organisational abilities with demonstrated experience in leading organisation-wide initiatives

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Resilient and adaptable when dealing with challenging situations and to remain calm and composed under pressure, and when handling hotline enquiries

  • Well organised, resourceful with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively and work independently
