What The Role Is

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Healthcare Analytics Specialist to join our team, playing a pivotal role in analysing healthcare service utilization, optimizing operations, and contributing to a culture of data-driven decision-making within the Ministry of Health (MOH).

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

1. Analysis of Healthcare Service Utilization:
2. Apply data science and econometrics techniques to meticulously understand and provide actionable insights into healthcare utilization patterns.
3. Collaborate closely with policy, cluster, and research partners to harness their domain expertise, elevating the depth and precision of our analysis.
4. Monitoring, Projections, and Optimization of Healthcare Services:
5. Conduct in-depth assessment of healthcare operations and resource needs.
6. Employ data science techniques to continually monitor, project, and optimize patient demand and healthcare supplies.
7. Systematically validate and review methods, ensuring ongoing refinement and alignment with emerging best practices.
8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and reporting framework, providing timely updates to key stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Key Competencies Required:

1. Degree, preferably in Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science or Business Analytics.
2. Proficient in a scientific computing language (such as R, Python or Stata).
3. Proven experience applying data science or econometrics techniques to healthcare analysis.
4. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with policy, cluster, and research partners.
5. Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities.
