A government ministry in Singapore seeks a media liaison officer to support political office holders. Responsibilities include managing local events, coordinating media access, and facilitating communications for engagements. Candidates should have at least three years of public/media relations experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a good command of English. Flexibility to travel is required for this role.
You will support political office holders by assisting their respective Press Secretaries and the Director of Communications Advance Department to staff events and facilitate media access to official speeches and photos. You will be engaged in the logistical planning of local and community events, courtesy calls and state visits by foreign dignitaries, and overseas trips. You will work with organisers to ensure the event is well-executed. You will coordinate media interviews. You are the media and liaison officer for the overseas engagements attended by the political office holders and will coordinate the overseas programme involving the media. You will work with multiple internal teams and a diverse range of external parties and are expected to have excellent stakeholder management skills.
