Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor all projects to ensure they are cost-effective, meet deadlines, adhere to quality standards, and fulfill client expectations. Lead teams in coordinating all project-related activities, from definition and design to development and deployment stages.
Project Management
- Direct and manage turnkey project development from start to finish.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Estimate required resources and participants to achieve project goals.
- Manage daily operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects.
- Oversee managers and teams working on client engagements, ensuring compliance with Omega’s processes and practices.
- Review high-level project deliverables.
- Implement process review and quality assurance procedures to ensure profitable and successful project execution, aligned with quarterly and yearly goals and customer satisfaction.
- Minimize exposure and risk across projects.
- Manage scope and mitigate risks across projects.
- Participate in team and key client meetings.
Project Accounting
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for all projects.
- Integrate financial data across multiple projects.
- Compare financial data between projects and seek ways to maximize revenue.
- Analyze profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
- Address billing and claims issues as they arise.
Leadership
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project teams.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Participate in performance evaluations and career development planning.
- Mentor managers and team members through formal and informal channels.
- Assess training needs and select appropriate training programs and tools.
- Ensure project tasks align with schedules and objectives.
- Participate in final negotiations with clients alongside the Sales Department.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical knowledge in one of the following areas:
Position 1: Radio Communication
GMDSS, Microwave Radio, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio, Crane Radio, Radio Dispatch, Satellite Telephone
Position 2: Security
Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, PABX (VoIP), Person On Board (POB)
Position 3: Navigation Aid
Radar, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, Navigational Instruments, Communication and Monitoring Systems
- 5 years of project management experience.
- 10 years of experience in marine, shipyard, petrochemical, power plant, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Ability to lead project engineers to meet schedules, costs, and client expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective coordination across departments.
- Proven project execution and management skills.
- Leadership qualities, encouraging development and clarity of roles.
- Commitment to excellence; industry knowledge; change management skills.
- Certified in Project Management is advantageous.
